SWI Group has completed the acquisition of more than 70% of Genesis Digital Assets. The business will be renamed SWI Digital.
The group states that more than 80% of its capital is now allocated to digital infrastructure with capacity exceeding 4GW, and that it intends to increase that share above 90%.
SWI Digital in the United States sits alongside AiOnX in Europe. Together the two platforms are intended to support a data centre, high-performance computing and GPU strategy across both regions.
Power is the binding constraint in this sector. Secured grid capacity, land with interconnection rights and the ability to energise sites on a defined timetable now determine value more than building specification does.
For allocators, a concentration of this degree is a deliberate position rather than a diversified infrastructure allocation. It carries direct exposure to computing demand, electricity pricing and the pace at which AI workloads translate into contracted revenue.
Digital infrastructure is one of the private investment focus areas at UKFOS Oxford 2026.
