CAZ Investments has partnered with SoFi Invest to make two of its funds available to individual investors on the platform.

The strategies span GP stakes, professional sports, AI and energy infrastructure, robotics, space and defence — a thematic rather than diversified construction.

GP stakes in particular has been an institutional strategy: buying minority interests in the management companies of alternative managers to capture management fee and carried interest streams. Offering it to individual investors is a notable extension of distribution.

The recurring caution applies. Thematic private market strategies concentrate exposure, carry illiquidity, and are sold through platforms whose users may be unfamiliar with capital calls, valuation lags and multi-year holding periods.

For family offices, these themes are not new; what is new is the pricing and structural competition created when the same strategies are packaged for a broader market.

GP stakes, sports and thematic private market strategies feature in the private investment discussion at UKFOS Oxford 2026.
