Standard Metrics has raised $20 million in Series B financing led by 8VC. Salesforce Ventures, Spark, January Capital, First Trust Capital Partners, Socii, Kindergarten, Calm and Gaingels participated in the round.
The company builds artificial intelligence tools that collect, structure and analyse portfolio company data for venture capital and private equity investors, and support reporting to their own investors.
Private markets reporting remains a genuine operational weakness. Portfolio data typically arrives as spreadsheets and documents in inconsistent formats and on irregular timetables, then has to be reconciled manually before it can be used for valuation, exposure analysis or limited partner reporting.
Family offices feel this acutely. A direct and fund portfolio assembled over years often spans dozens of managers and companies with no common reporting standard, making consolidated exposure analysis slow and error-prone.
Technology of this kind does not remove the underwriting judgement, but it shortens the distance between raw manager data and a usable portfolio view.
Data, reporting and operational infrastructure for private capital are discussed throughout the UKFOS Oxford 2026 programme.
