Invesco Expands Global Solutions and Custom Strategies Platform

The move reflects a wider industry shift from selling individual funds towards building portfolio-level, client-specific mandates.

Invesco has advanced the development of its global Solutions and Custom Strategies platform, unifying bespoke capabilities across public and private markets and across active and passive implementation for wealth and institutional clients.

The direction of travel is familiar across large asset managers. Rather than distributing individual funds, managers are increasingly asked to design and operate whole portfolios: asset allocation, manager selection, implementation, risk analytics and reporting delivered as a single mandate.

For family offices, this creates both an opportunity and a governance question. Outsourced portfolio construction can bring institutional analytics and pricing power to a small team. It can also concentrate a family's exposure with a single provider that both advises on allocation and supplies the underlying products.

Where such mandates are used, clear reporting on the split between proprietary and third-party components, and on total cost across both layers, is the practical safeguard.

Governance, manager selection and the balance between insourcing and outsourcing investment functions are examined directly in the UKFOS Oxford 2026 programme.
