
Mishcon de Reya has advised Relation Therapeutics on a $110 million collaboration with GSK, the firm announced on 1 August 2026.
The strategic research collaboration is focused on generating large-scale human cellular perturbation data and deploying them into models, including MORGAN, Relation's cellular biology foundation model, to deepen understanding of disease biology and support the discovery of potential new therapeutic targets.
A fourth agreement for the same client
The agreement follows the firm's Life Sciences team work in December 2025 advising Relation Therapeutics on its strategic multi-programme collaboration with Novartis, representing almost $1.7 billion in combined funding and support to propel its AI-powered drug discovery.

The Golden Triangle context
The announcement comes after GSK publicised its relocation to a new research and development centre in Cambridge. Mishcon de Reya said it welcomed GSK's commitment to the UK's Golden Triangle, which complements the firm's own vision for operating at the heart of the UK's innovation economy across the arc, with offices in Oxford, Cambridge and London.
What this does and does not tell investors
The collaboration is a research agreement. It funds the generation of data and the application of computational models; it does not of itself establish a therapeutic outcome, and no clinical result has been announced.
For family offices with life sciences exposure, the structure is the point of interest: large pharmaceutical partners are increasingly funding data generation and model development at platform companies rather than acquiring assets outright, which changes both the capital requirement and the risk profile for early backers.
