Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) has participated in the completed take-private transaction of Janus Henderson Group Ltd alongside Trian Fund Management and General Catalyst as part of a global investor group.
Other investors in the global group include Lunate and Sun Hung Kai & Co. Limited.
Janus Henderson operates across equities, fixed income, multi-asset, alternatives and exchange-traded funds.
As a private company, Janus Henderson plans to continue investing in its investment solutions, client-service capabilities, artificial intelligence technology and talent.
The company will continue to be led by its existing management team, with Ali Dibadj remaining Chief Executive Officer.
Janus Henderson will also maintain its main presence in London, England, and Denver, Colorado.
Mohammed Saif Al-Sowaidi, CEO of QIA, said: “Janus Henderson has a distinguished heritage as a global leader in asset management.”
He said QIA was participating as a long-term financial investor alongside management and investment partners.
QIA said its participation is consistent with its strategy of partnering with established global financial-services businesses and supporting companies with strong market positions and long-term growth opportunities.
