COFRA Holding AG announced on 6 July 2026 that Neil Slater will step down as Chief Executive Officer of Redevco, COFRA's real estate business, to take up the role of CEO at Link Real Estate Investment Trust, one of Asia's largest real estate investment trusts.
Slater's departure from Redevco will take effect on 31 January 2027. He remains in post until that date. A search for his successor has commenced and details will be announced in due course.
Tenure
Slater joined Redevco in October 2023. During his tenure as CEO he further developed the business into a multi-client, multi-strategy platform, including through the launch of its European Retail Parks Fund and Real Estate Debt strategies.
Commentary
Boudewijn Beerkens, CEO of COFRA Holding AG, said: "We are very grateful to Neil for the strong leadership, commitment and deep investment expertise he has brought to Redevco during his time as CEO. He has made an important and impactful contribution to the business, and we wish him every success in what comes next."
He added: "We have great confidence in Redevco's leadership team and proven strategy and will continue to work closely with the team to support its long-term value creation and impact."
Neil Slater, CEO of Redevco, said: "It has been a privilege to lead Redevco, and I have great respect and affection for the team and the business. Redevco has a clear purpose, a compelling strategy and an exceptional group of people who are wholly committed to delivering for clients and communities. I remain focused on supporting the team through an orderly handover and ensuring continuity for Redevco, its clients and partners."
Context
The move comes as Redevco continues to expand beyond its retail origins into logistics and real estate debt. For investors in European private real estate platforms, a chief executive transition announced almost seven months ahead of the effective date is principally a continuity question — one the announcement addresses by confirming both an orderly handover and a live succession process.
